CalCreative, a host partner for California Climate Action Corps
The California Climate Action Corps is a state-level fellowship program launched by California Volunteers under the Office of the Governor to empower emerging leaders to take direct action on climate change. Fellows serve 11-month terms with local governments, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, leading volunteer engagement and sustainability projects focused on urban greening, food and waste recovery, and wildfire resilience—while building workforce skills and advancing environmental equity across California. The California Creative Learning Academy (CalCreative) is an arts-integrated public charter school in Los Angeles that emphasizes creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and community engagement. Through project-based learning and reflective arts practices, CalCreative nurtures students’ intellectual and emotional growth, encouraging them to connect learning with real-world impact and develop as thoughtful, socially conscious creators.

Council for Watershed Health
Council for Watershed Health (CWH) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1996 by environmental advocate Dorothy Green. Our mission is to advance the health and sustainability of our region’s watersheds, rivers, streams, and habitats – both in natural areas and urban neighborhoods. We do this through science-based research, education, and inclusive engagement with a vision for a Los Angeles region that is a model of sustainable urban watershed management. Our core program areas focus on water quality monitoring, the implementation of green stormwater infrastructure projects, education and engagement in partnership with community-based organizations (CBOs), and technical assistance for underserved communities, resulting in the construction of multi-benefit projects.

TreePeople
Born from the efforts of a teenager over 50 years ago, TreePeople inspires and supports the people of Southern California to come together to plant and care for trees, harvest the rain, and renew depleted landscapes. Through our unique model, we listen to, equip, and train volunteers to green our urban spaces and mountains. TreePeople has activated millions of people in planting and caring for millions of trees. We work with both educators and students to train the next generation of eco-conscious leaders. We steward thousands of acres of land—maintaining habitats and protecting land from development. We develop original, actionable research that drives science-based policy. We train volunteers on the ground to help build a greener Southern California.
