Prop-2 CTEFB: $600M available for Comprehensive High Schools
Room: 204
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am
CTE Grant funding for public high schools. CA Prop-2 has a $600M carve-out grant funding available for its Career Training & Education Facilities Program (CTEFP) targeted for Comprehensive High Schools. There are two (2) $300M funding rounds, with the 1st round application deadline on Dec. 1, 2025. The well informed session speakers will summarize the Prop-2 CTEFB application requirements, as well as provide a case study for a DSA pre-checked, solar-powered Outdoor Education Classroom that can be fully funded in most cases using the Prop-2 CTEFB and Federal Direct Pay Energy Credits. Agriculture, Athletic, Culinary, and several other CTE program pathways may benefit as well. Bring your specific questions for this timely and narrowly focused session. |
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
1. Learn how your Comprehensive High School may capture CTE grant funding that is specifically carved-out in the CA Prop-2 Statewide Bond Issue passed on Nov. 5, 2024. 2. Learn about recent changes to the Inflation Reduction Act, and the Federal Direct-Pay Energy Credits that are still available for projects completed by Dec. 31, 2027. 3. Learn why DSA pre-check is a vitally important program to get your project completed quickly, in order to capture the federal Energy Credits. And how to access this. 4. Learn about municipal bridge financing that is available if your school needs it, so as to smooth the cash flow impacts of your CTE project implementation. |
