Mixer and Leadership Awards



We invite you to join us at the Leadership Awards which will be presented at the Green California Schools and Higher Education Summit. Attend the mixer and presentations to learn about, and to celebrate the outstanding projects and work done on California campuses, with in agencies and organizations that forward California’s sustainability goals and to network with Summit attendees at the mixer prior to the awards presentations.

Definitions:
Pioneer – A person who begins or helps develop something new in the area of sustainability and prepares the way for others to follow.
Higher Education – A Community College or University project or program that creates change in the area of sustainability and environmental progress.
School – A K-12 school with noteworthy sustainability projects that have changed the way the school performs and manages it’s campus.
School District – A district wide project or program that creates change in the area of sustainability and environmental progress.
Environmental Literacy – Implementation of California’s Environmental Literacy principles with student engagement, addressing a wide range of areas, making a difference in California’s curriculum.
Teacher – A Teacher that has demonstrated leadership in the realm of sustainability, Environmental Literacy or who is connecting classroom learning to the facility or campus.
Environmental Champion – A Company, Project or Organization that demonstrates significant achievements helping to advance California’s Sustainability efforts.
All awardees will be awarded in person at the Green California Schools and Higher Education Summit on November 13th at the awards Presentations and Mixer and included in a magazine article with all awardees.
