Extending Your Roofs Lifecycle: How to get the most out of your roof roundtable

Buildings today incorporate lighter-weight structural materials than those built years ago. Contemporary roofing systems should, therefore, have the ability to withstand the increased substrate movements and deflections. Durability of the roof can be assured through good planning and by the correct specification and installation of the waterproofing system.

Asphalt is still the best-known waterproofing material. However; it has poor aging characteristics, becomes brittle in cold weather, is fluid in hot weather, and has little resistance to fatigue. Elastomeric compounds such as SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) substantially improve these properties. SBS rubber is flexible and has the memory to return to its original form.  SBS rubber to asphalt increases the flow characteristics and improves the low-temperature flexibility and fatigue resistance of roofing asphalt. The end product is a high-performance and can be installed 2-3 ply system assembly.

Areas that will be covered and discussed in this roundtable are:

  • Durable rubberized asphalt roof products that provide over 200-300 mill thickness applied in 2-3 ply roof systems
  • Learn more about the MBCare program for free warranty maintenance
  • Recycled Content products available for basic maintenance & repairs using our Ecotorch product.  Less heat when applying and doesn’t require a certified applicator to do repair and maintenance
  • When roofs are not leaking, but still need a roof system, Overlay Roof System can be a solution over existing roof.  A no waist roof solution
  • How to get a free roof assessment to determine what condition your roofs are in

Multiple date available:

Modernizing the Built Environment Without Compromise!
(A non-technical discussion for a very complex issue)

Architects, engineers, facility managers, and all professionals responsible for the built environment are under increasing pressure to design smarter, more efficient, and future-ready spaces. Our core challenge to ensure year-round human comfort and safety must be met while staying within tight budgets and resource constraints. Traditional cooling systems relying on compression technologies often struggle during extreme heat, consuming excessive power and forcing a reduction in outside air ventilation just when it’s needed most. In some cases, utilities even incentivize you to reduce cooling capacity to ease grid strain. And electrifying your building – especially when phasing out gas heating – can trigger costly infrastructure upgrades, potentially rendering your project financially unviable.

Does it always have to be a compromise?

We believe not. Seeley has innovated the solution to maintain comfort, ensure clean and SAFER-Air™, and reduce energy waste—without relying heavily on compressors or sacrificing ventilation.

Imagine a system that:

  • Maintains safer indoor environments (reducing airborne pathogens, CO₂ buildup, and absenteeism)
  • Minimizes annual operational costs through integrated cooling technologies and more efficient heating strategies
  • Reduces your building’s carbon footprint while enhancing its long-term value

Join us for an essential conversation about modernizing your facility and creating environments that are healthier, more efficient, and future-forward – from design and operations to maintenance and end-of-life planning. Let’s work toward a better built world.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how the hybridization of your HVAC system can significantly reduce the impact on the grid and your P&L.
  • How to develop cost effective electrification design strategies to heat, cool & ventilate the built environment.
  • Implementing Heat Pump systems do not always need to trigger costly electrical infrastructure upgrades.
  • How a hybridized solution can be a sound investment strategy.

Speaker:
John Fraser-Mifsud, President, Seeley International Americas

9 September 2025

Time: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Duration: 1 hour includes discussion times.

Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) Webinar

This informative webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC), a innovative and proven financing mechanism for modernizing infrastructure projects in public facilities.

What is an ESPC?
Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) is a budget-neutral approach to make building improvements that reduce energy and water use and increase operational efficiency. By partnering with an energy service company (ESCO), a facility owner can use an ESPC to pay for today’s facility upgrades with tomorrow’s energy savings—without tapping into capital budgets. This approach mitigates the risk of capital project performance post installation. For institutions with bond funding, this will allow you to use your operating budget for energy efficiency upgrades while preserving bond funds for other essential projects.

Key Topics Covered:

• Government Code Authorization
• Government Code Requirements
• ESPC Process and Timeline
• Benefits and Considerations

Who Should Attend?
This webinar is ideal for:
• Facility and finance managers
• Public agency administrators
• School district officials
• Municipal and county leaders
• Anyone challenged with budgetary solutions for public facilities

Join us to learn how ESPCs can help your organization achieve significant energy savings and facility improvements while staying within budget constraints.

Date available:
