Accessing Prop 39 Funds: What Schools Can Do Now

While the guidelines for project approval by the California Energy Commission (CEC) have not been released, the best practices that are expected to be reflected in Prop 39 proposals are well established. In a recent interview with Green Technology magazine, Jim Kelsey of kW Engineering discusses steps that schools can take now to develop energy plans and projects that will enable them to make the best use of Prop 39 funds.

In addition to years of experience offering consulting services to schools districts, kW has been selected as the technical assistance provider for the CEC’s Bright Schools program, which offers districts up to $20,000 in consulting services to develop efficiency plans.
