Green Technology is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of assisting public and private sector efforts to create clean and sustainable communities. This public-interest mission informs all data collection and management efforts.

What we collect

The information we collect when individuals register for any of our events is basic contact data and demographic data. The demographic data is related only to the business sector the attendee works in e.g.: Education, K-12; Community College; University; Government-Municipal. County, State; Special District; Non-Profit; Private-Architect/Engineer/Contractor, etc.

Use of information collected

At Green Technology we protect your privacy as if it were our own. We use the information you provide to us for six purposes only: to process your registration, sponsorship or exhibit fee(s), to reply to your questions, to provide information on upcoming events and workshops, to provide our e-zine via email, to collect demographic information for report purposes and to incorporate your feedback into improvements to our Web site.

We will not give, sell, or rent your personal information, including email address, or specific account activity to anyone for any reason without your prior consent except, as required by law, and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
On occasion we may share contact information for people who register for our events with our exhibitors and sponsors. If you do not wish your contact information, we provide you the opportunity to opt out during the registration process.

We do not share information relating to those who subscribe to our newsletters.

Financial information

Green Technology does NOT share ANY financial information collected from our clients, sponsors or workshop attendees.

If you register for an event or contract for sponsorship or a booth online, our secure order form requests contact, billing, and financial information (such as your credit card numbers for purchases). Contact information from the order form (email address, name, billing and shipping address, and phone number) is used to send confirmation and/or billing to you or your company. Your contact information, including email address, is also used to get in touch with you should we have questions regarding your registration/contract or should we need to notify you of the status of your registration/contract. And yes, you can opt not to get email from us, as described in the opt-out section below. The credit card information we collect is used to bill you for your purchase.
Third-party intermediaries.

a. For event and workshop registration we use RSVPBook a secure online registration service. RSVPBook does not use any information used to process your registration.

b. When you register or contract with us, we send your credit card information, name, and billing address to credit card companies for verification and to authorize your purchase using secure gateways.

Online Surveys

We occasionally run our own online surveys and we ask visitors for contact information (such as email address) and demographic information. We use contact data from our surveys to send users information about our events and workshops. You may opt-out of the survey and also opt-out of any future mailings at the time of the survey.

Newsletter Opt-Out

If you decide that you would like to opt-out from receiving newsletters from us, our emails provide you with the opportunity to stop receiving these communications. Simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

Please note: You will continue to receive transactional-related emails (such as registration confirmations) whenever you register or contract with us.

Refund Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing to Green Technology has specific refund dates for each event based upon the timelines.  Please go to the registration site for your event for details.   
For CalGreen seminars cancellation requests submitted earlier than 10 days of the seminar will receive a refund (less a $25 processing fee). There are no refunds within 10 days of the seminar.
