The Green California Schools Summit and the Green California Community Colleges Summit are now accepting nominations for 2012 Leadership Awards. The two events will be held concurrently this year, and will share an awards presentation ceremony on September 27, 2012 at the Pasadena Convention Center. There are five categories of awards for each Summit. For Schools the award categories are: Teacher, District, Green Campus, Energy, Curriculum. For Colleges, the awards categories are: Instructor, District, Green Campus, Energy and Curriculum. Descriptions for each category are on the nomination forms (see links below). “The awards are a high point of every Summit,” said Green Technology editor in chief Carl Smith. “Not enough people hear about the exciting and innovative work that is taking place on campuses throughout the state.” The deadline for nomination submissions is August 1, 2012.
