CaliforniaDescription
To fulfill this mission, CAF has established several programs to provide
financial support to those who fulfill its goals.
The Mel Ferris Scholarship program is open to all students in the 10
accredited schools of architecture in California.
The Turnbull Environmental Education Grant is focused on environmental
projects and programs, including the Off-Grid Ideas Competition.
The Built Environment Education Program (BEEP) is a collaborative
effort, teaching our city builders of tomorrow about the development
and preservation of the environment.
The Nathaniel A. Owings, Environmental award is intended to recognize individuals or groups who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the preservation of nature in relation to the built environment in California. This award was adopted by the California Architectural Foundation in 2008 (it was previously an AIACC award).
Since 1991, CAF has awarded 98 grants, scholarships, and awards through
these programs.
